Intermediate Level 1 — Berättarsteg 1 (Sun-Yellow Step)

Where stories bloom and emotions take the stage.
In the radiant sun-yellow Berättarsteg 1, dancers (typically in their 4ᵗʰ term) unlock the expressive heart of Bharatanatyam. We introduce the navarasa—nine moods that spark empathy—while feet advance through Marthitha Adavu 1 – 8 for dynamic height changes. Class builds to the first half of Pushpanjali, weaving movement and devotion. At term’s end, students earn a cheerful Maskros-pin (dandelion badge) and present a lively 2-minute group myth performance that turns the studio into a mini theatre.

Practical Details

• Duration: 16-week term · one 60-minute class per week

• Typical tenure: 1 term to complete Berättarsteg 1

• Group size: max 14 students for detailed coaching

• Language of instruction: English only

Terms & Conditions

1. Booking: Seat secured once the 100 SEK Swish deposit is received (applied toward the term fee).

2. Attendance: Minimum 75 % attendance required for Maskros-pin and performance eligibility.

3. Parent access: Observation welcome during the first and final class only, to keep rehearsals focused.

4. "Term payout plan" - Kr 4796. “Pay-in-Two” plan (50 % now - Kr 2398, 50 % after week 4 - Kr 2398), "Monthly payout plan" - Kr 1199 on request for newcomers. Displayed is the Monthly payout plan

Refund & Make-Up Policy

• Full refund (including deposit) if you cancel 7 days or more before term start.

• 50 % refund if cancellation occurs within the first two teaching weeks.

• No refund thereafter, except with a doctor’s certificate for medical leave.

• If the teacher cancels a class, a make-up session will be scheduled.

• No make-ups or refunds for student absences.
